For Local Authors

Thank you for your interest in Turn the Page carrying your book or hosting an event. Please keep in mind, we frequently receive requests so it’s not always possible to accommodate every author. We do not appreciate “Cold Calls” at the store, and would prefer you contact us via email after reviewing these guidelines. Here are some guidelines we have developed to help us decide which books to carry on our shelves:

Book Guidelines

• The book must be newly published, no more than six months old.

• All books must have a UPC barcode, and be carried by Ingram.

• The title and author must be on the spine of the book.

• We will take into consideration the price, writing and editing quality, cover design, and binding.

• The book must be pertinent to our community and appeal to our customers.

Sales Terms

• We will sell your book on consignment at a 60/40 split, and the books must be returnable.

Events

• Co-Promotion: We expect the author to self-promote to all of their contacts, and especially to the target audiences of the book. In return, Turn the Page will get the information out through social media, and will be featured in our newsletter.

• Quarterly Local Author Events: We will have Saturday Signings, as a local author event and will have multiple authors present.
